LOCAL NOTES
That the salmon are still rising to fishermen's lures in Stevens'
Lake is evidenced by the taking, by Alberta men, this week of 75 fish in
two days fishing. The strangers stated that their success was due to their
use of a new bait which proved equally effective when tried in Horseshoe
Lake. In that sheet of water the visitors took three salmon, the largest
tipping the scales at 16 pounds.
