The Triangle Women's Institute Panel Project

Roo Panel – created by the Triangle Women’s Institute(TWI) and the Columbia Basin Institute of Regional History (CBIRH)

The Columbia Basin Institute of Regional History (CBIRH) and the Triangle Women’s Institute (TWI) are pleased with the arrival of our latest collaboration for the Grasmere Hall in the South Country. The Roo panel is complete as this project continues to grow. Thank you to the TWI for your hard work and dedication to this addition.

Special thanks to Judy-Lou McDonald and Bonnie Crossen for their critical eye and outreach to the families involved. Also, a special thank you to Gert de Groot from Solar Etchings, a board member with the CBIRH.

This panel was created by: CBIRH Staff Erin Knutson, Derryll White, Gert de Groot and the TWI.

We look forward to continuing work with the TWI on future panels. The CBIRH appreciates the support from the Columbia Basin Trust(CBT) and the Regional District of East Kootenay(RDEK) for their generous contribution to this undertaking.

Thank you to the Roo family for the artefact donations and historical references that helped build this panel and for the clarification and consultation that allowed us to create a multimedia depiction of your family history. Please enjoy the panel, and if you get a chance, visit Grasmere Hall, where it is located, with the rest of the exhibit.
