The political pot in the Kootenay East district is showing signs of simmering.  Both sides have opened committee rooms and are actively working on voters’ lists.  The Liberals have their headquarters in the Aikens block, opposite the Canadian Bank of Commerce, with P.W. Willis as campaign manager.  The Conservatives, with Dr. Rutledge as campaign manager, have opened offices on the second floor of the Cameron and Sang building.
