HATCHERY OPERATIONS WILL COMMENCE SOON. –

Replacing Harry Ryder, resigned from The Fisheries Department service, Percy Hill of Cowichan arrived in the city Thursday last to take charge of trout hatchery operations here.  Mr. Hill is a thoroughly experienced hatchery man.  With E.T. Cooper as his assistant he is now engaged in overhaul of hatchery equipment before reinstalling trout traps on creeks flowing into Munroe Lake against the first run of spawning trout which is expected to occur about two weeks hence.
