ROTARY OBSERVES 8TH ANNIVERSARY – Entertain Those Who Took Part In Minstrel Show – Stunts and Presentations of Diplomas.
Cranbrook Rotary Club celebrated its eighth anniversary Tuesday evening in the Masonic Hall, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion. The club had as their guests those who assisted in the minstrel show and their lady friends. In the absence of Jake Fink, president of the club, W.H. Wilson occupied the chair. Jake Jacobson and Charlie Little had charge of the stunts, while David Morgan led the community singing, which included a number of the minstrel choruses and songs.
Those contributing to the program were: Mrs. F.M. MacPherson, A.C. Shankland, Vincent Fink, David Morgan, accompanists being Mrs. Art Wallace and Miss Wanda Fink.
Stunts included the famous blind-fold bottle jumping contest and aeroplane rides.
The evening concluded with a dance, music for which was supplied by Mrs. F.M. MacPherson.
