Kootenay lake is to have a fine new passenger and freight steamboat, about the size of the Rossland, to do business principally between Nelson and Kuskanook.

The International Navigation company of Kaslo have under construction several large car barges capable of carrying 12 cars. They will be used by the Nelson and Bedlington to ferry their cars from Kuskanook to Kaslo and vice versa.
