LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Sir – We notice a news story in your paper about a new public library. The cost of which is tentatively set at $80,000.
We were wondering if any consideration had been given to using the old post office building for a library. We feel that this would be a much more central location and certainly wouldn’t cost the taxpayers $80,000 to renovate.
Aside from the saving, this would also make good use of this fine building and help to keep it as a familiar landmark in the city.
Further, by using this building for a library it would leave more land in the Bishop Doyle property for development for recreation use.
