BC Spruce Mills flume at Lumberton, B.C. This was one of the largest sawmills in the interior, in its time. They had an extensive flume system that transported material from all over the Moyie River valley to the sawmill log pond.

A logging flume in Yahk, BC. Bill Smyth fell in this flume one time in 1920 and was lucky to get out alive. Notice the log decks, water control gate and workers with pike poles feeding the logs through the gate.
