VOICE OF THE PEOPLE
Editor,
Dear Sir:- I am writing regard the relief work at Wardner. This is hard times, why pay men $4.00 a day and have the whole town fighting for work when it is to be relief to put one through the winter and not to fill their pockets.
Anyone in need will be glad to work say $2.00 for the married men and $1.00 for single men it will carry them through. And I am sure there will not be such a rush for the job, as $4.00 a day is more than some were getting all summer, now they are going wild over this work ready to take bread out of one another’s mouths. Food is lot cheaper so I am sure that no one will go hungry. The way it is worked now is a sham. Wish someone would look into this. I am a taxpayer in this country and citizen. I am doing this for my country and for those in need, not to have some fattening their bank roll.
Thank you, I remain
Yours truly
