Description:
Grand opening at the Orpheum Theatre on Spokane Street, Kimberley, BC. A contributor pointed out that "The Fighting 69th" was released in 1940, so this is not the opening of the theatre, which occured in 1924. This building was started in August 1939, replacing the old Orpheum. It was built by A.C. Blaine, also owner of the Cranbrook Star theatre.
