AIRPORT WORK LEVELING BUMPY FIELD. – Southern Section Undergoing Rapid Plastic Operations: To Be Completed In November.
Clouds of dust rising over the airport each day indicate the intensive work under way there with tractors, scrapers, trucks and men undoing the work of the glacial age in leveling out the southern thousand feet of the fields, to be completed in November.
Worden’s Transfer last week purchased a new Diesel Caterpillar Tractor, RD-4 which has been put to work down there in scraping and hauling.
