Over 150 men arrived at Calgary on Wednesday to go to work on the new railway.

Mr. G.B. Lumsden, chief of C.P.R. surveys went to Fort Steele on Monday’s boat.

Mr. Van Horne, son of the President of the C.P.R. arrived from Fort Steele on Monday and went east. He has been connected with a survey party engaged in locating the line in the Crow’s Nest Pass.

The Golden Lumber Co. received this week an order for several million feet of lumber and timber to be used for construction purposes on the Crow’s Nest Pass at Fort McLeod.

There will be about 6,000,000 feet of timber used in the building of the section of the Crow’s Nest road between Lethbridge and Macleod alone.

The Trade and Labor Council is opposed to the Minister of the Interior bringing out people from the Old Country to work on the Crow’s Nest Pass railway. They contend that there are enough people in Canada at present requiring work to build the railway.
