MORSELS FROM MOYIE

The movement against the Chinese is working very satisfactory to those who started the ball rolling.  The business men have all so far adhered to the request of the anti-Chinese committee.  The cards which the miners’ union had printed on which were the words “We Neither Patronize or Employ Chinese Here,” are now displayed in nearly every business house.  In most cases the cards were asked for by the business men.  The Chinese are acting glum and seem pretty well discouraged, and it is said that most of them are getting ready to move out.  One thing is certain they are getting but little if any work to do.  The white laundries are overcrowded with work.
