Eric Swanson

Eric Laurentius Swanson was born June 18, 1894 in Wastra Wram, Kristianstad, Sweden. He came to Swift Creek in 1916. He met his wife, Eva in 1927. Together they trapped in winter and worked in the logging camps in the summer. Eric homesteaded at Cranberry Lake, called the swamp, after he received his naturalization papers in January of 1925. The swamp was home till Eric passed away on December 9, 1964. Eva sold the place in 1966/67.
