CPR Railway Accident at Moyie

A CPR train engine overturned in Moyie Lake on November 20, 1925. The train encountered a rock slide at the entrance to the Jerome tunnel at Moyie and the engine derailed into the lake. Everyone jumped clear of the wreck except the fireman, Robert Eley, who was later found trapped under the locomotive.

Tramp Art

Tramp or Chip Art is an old art form, almost alwats accomplished with a piece of wood and a simple jackknife, and patience. The pieces were carved by hand, without glue or nails. This 3D cross piece was returned to Moyie by a Calgary fireman.
