Central School/Tembec (2005)

Central School/Tembec (2005) This building served Cranbrook as its main school into the 1970s, then was closed and sold to Crestbrook Forest Industries who were then bought by Tembec Industries to serve as their main headquarters. When Tembec ceased operations int he Cranbrook area the building was sold to the Ktunaxa Nation who use it as their main government headquarters.

The King Edward Hotel

The King Edward Hotel in Wardner, c. 1912. Situated on Wallace Avenue, it was possibly known as the Kootenay House in 1897-98. Owners included Ole Holm and Anton (Tony) Rosicky. It closed in the 1930s for lack of a liquor license and was torn down.
