Home of Bill Perepelkin

Jan. 1987, the home of Bill Perepelkin at 80 Columbia Ave. This house was built circa 1911 and originally owned by Jimmy Davidson. C. Salekin added: Caption is correct. Just to add though, after Jim Davidson, Ross & Kate Defoe lived here. The house behind was owned by the Brodmans.

Castlegar Highway

The road up from the ferry into Castlegar and the route along which the original jail would be moved. A contributor added: The two houses pictured right, had a driveway that approached from the direction of Castlegar, along side the railway and ended abruptly behind the white house. This first white house was owned by Broadman's and the one next to it was owned by the ferry operators Jimmy Davidson and later Ross Defoe. The police station was located yet beyond this house,towards Castlegar, out of this scene and around the corner. The jail was situated directly behind the police station and along the aforementioned driveway and near to the railway tracks that lead to the pulp mill.
