Albert Joseph Grez & Jane Grez
Albert Joseph Grez & Jane Grez (nee Lyle), formerly Bell, at Sheep Creek (Lussier Creek) Christmas 1911. Albert and Jane had made the journey from Fort Steele to Sheep Creek (Lussier Creek), north of Premier Lake for Christmas. Albert Grez had a farm up Maus Creek, south and east of Fort Steele, B.C. The house in the background was a stopping place for the stage running from the Windermere area to Fort Steele and Cranbrook.

Jane (Lyle) (Bell) Grez
Jane Lyle was born in 1862 at Exeter, Devon, England. She married William Richard Bell Cardiff, Wales, in 1896 and had one son with him, Albert Bell (in the photo also). Jane married Albert Joseph Grez at Cranbrook, B.C., on February 1, 1908, and lived in and around Fort Steele with Mr. Grez. Jane Lyle Bell Grez died at DeKalb, Georgia (a part of the City of Atlanta) on April 17, 1963. Jane was a sister of Fanny Willicome and Emily Cadieux.

Frederick George Lyle
Frederick George Lyle, born at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales in 1885, the son of William Bray Lyle Jr.son of William Lyle, and Elizabeth. He married Louisa Sweet about 1910 and was the father of Cyril and Robert Lyle. In 1922 the family came to Canada aboard the Cunard Line SS Antonia, leaving from Southhampton and landing at Quebec City, then across to Fort Steele, B.C. Fred lyle was a nephew of Fanny (Lyle) Willicome, and came to Fort Steele to work with his uncle Albert J. Grez and aunt Jane (Lyle) Grez at the JA Ranch. Later he worked in Kimberley with the C.M. & S. Co. Fred may have remarried on September 29, 1938, to Bernice Anderson.
