Kimberley Jr. Fish and Game Team

Members of the Kimberley Junior Fish and Game club under the leadership of the late Bill Moffatt. Ram Spotted in Premier Lake Area, 1966

Ram was spotted about half a mile away with 15 other sheep. (possibly Premier and Quartz Lakes area) After about ten minutes he left the band and started a slow retreat feeding on the way to the top of the ridge. Took a picture of him laying down, he was not afraid. This shot like all others is taken with an ordinary lens. 9:00 a.m. Part of large album, Jr Fish and Gamers

Elk Herd Near Premier Lake, 1966

Elk running down hill to meet up with other elk. I was well hidden at this point. Don't think they saw me. Elk were noticed hurrying in burn to catch up to other elk that had moved off into Douglas Firs. There were a dozen elk in these two families. (Possibly Premier and Quartz Lake area). Elk Grazing Near Premier lake, 1966

Two of the above elk stopped, they must have got my scent. They stamped their feet, both hind and front. The bigger cow gave out a bark, then three barks at intervals of two minutes. The other elk came off the hill, returned to her and they moved out to the west ridge. This is far more sport than shooting game. (Possibly Premier Lake area).
