Obituary: Kovalevich: Mr. William Kovalevich of 3216 -3A Street South Cranbrook, passed away at the Cranbrook Regional Hospital on February 6th, 1992, at the age of 66 years. Bill was born in Fernie, B.C. on January 13th 1926. After receiving his early education in Fernie, Bill attended the University of British Columbia where he earned his Bachelor of Education degree. He taught school in Osoyoos, Kerry Lake, Canal Flats, Port Alberni and Jaffray before moving with his family to Cranbrook in 1973. He taught in City Schools until his retirement in 1988. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Edlund) and daughter Julie at home, his son Allen of Victoria, and his mother Polly Kovalevich of the Rocky Mountain Lodge in Cranbrook. Bill was predeceased by his father Nicholas Kovalevich in 1946. His only sister Olga Dojack in 1987 and brother-in-law Stan Dojack in 1989. A Funeral Service will be held from the McPherson's Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 11, 1992 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jack Lindquist, officiating. Interment will follow in the Westlawn Cemetary.
