BOARD OF TRADE.

The first meeting of the Marysville board of trade was held in Leask’s hall on Tuesday evening.  Mr. Schaich was in the chair and Mr. E.H. Small acted as secretary.

A committee of two consisted of Hugh McMillan and J. Hutchison were appointed to canvass the citizens as to joint the board.  It was decided that the fee should be $1.25 per six months payable in advance.  It was moved, seconded and carried that a meeting be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, at Leask’s hall and it is hoped that all interested in the welfare of Marysville will attend.

A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Leask for the use of his hall.

The meeting adjourned at the invitation of Paul Handley to the Royal hotel for refreshments.
