            C. Coy has sold his residence on A ave. to the Land Co. and has erected a house on Front st. and moved into it.  His Front street lot cost $700 two years ago.

            M. Weinstein announces the shipment of a large invoice of English and Scotch suitings, and will make suits to order from $25; best $40.  Sign, London Tailor.

            At the Saturday session of the city council an appropriation of $500 was made for the purchase of fire extinguishers.  Several citizens will also provide their places of business with fire extinguishers.

            John F. McIntosh, the customs officer, has been in demand this week.  At times his office is thronged with merchants and others waiting their turns to pay duty on goods received from the other side.
