SANCA A HUMMER. – Stores, Hotels and Restaurants Going Up.

            Sanca, B.C.  July 14. – The future outlook of White Grouse mountain district and the embryo town of Sanca has assumed a more rosy tinted hue since active development work was commenced on the Storm King, one of the Montana company’s claims in this district.  A shaft is being sunk by a double shift on a 3 ½ foot pay chute, which samples over $100 per ton in gold, silver and copper.

            The company is making arrangements to begin development work on the Copper King, Silver Tip, Big Four and Golden King – five of their fourteen locations, at once.

            It has been definitely decided to begin construction of the wagon road, which will be eighteen miles in length, not later than the 25th inst., and to have it completed in forty days if men, money and energy can accomplish it.

            Mr. E.B. Hosford, of Anaconda, one of the stockholders, has lately visited and examined that district and, although very conservative, is really enthusiastic regarding the future. possibilities of the property controlled by himself and associates.

            Engineer Hirsh has platted a portion of Sanca townsite and quite a quantity of realty has been secured by different parties.

            Mr. J.T. Simpson of Moose Jaw, N.W.T., it is expected will have a sawmill in operation within fifteen days.  A contract with the Sanca townsite company calls for 100,000 feet of lumber within sixty days and 150,000 feet in the next sixty days.

            Mr. W.J. Manson, of Nanaimo, brought in a scow load of lumber last Sunday, and is now ready with a general stock of merchandise for the trade.

            A letter from the town of Sanca, at the mouth of Granite creek, states that on the 15th $2,950 worth of lots were sold to passengers on the Angerona while that boat lay at the dock.  The C. & K. Co. advertise an excursion to Sanca by steamship Nelson tomorrow.
