            Dr. Hartin now occupies as an office the McGregor residence, near the Presbyterian church.

            Orders for lumber for the new town of Sanca, at the mouth of Granite creek, have reached Kaslo.

********

            G.O. Buchanan, last Saturday, sent a raft of 250,000 feet of lumber to his Nelson yard.  He calculates that his mill will be closed down at least three weeks on account of high water.

            The Sunday school children of Kaslo and their friends will give a picnic at the Blue Bell mine on next Tuesday, the 14th inst.  The steamship Alberta will leave at 8 a.m.  A committee composed of Superintendent Buchanan, W.B. Strathern and Charles H. Goodwin, have charge of the affair.

KASLO ALWAYS BUILDING.

            Hamilton Byers and H. Giegerich have decided to build at once on the corner of Front and Fourth streets, a double two story store building.  Mr. Giegerich let the contract for his cellar yesterday to Cameron Bros., and Mr. Byers is now busy with his plans.
