Fort Steele

Barry Beaulac added: The four are standing at 90 degrees to the front of the Willicome house, with the warehouse immediately behind and the Johnson blacksmith shop behind that.

Emily (Lyle) Cadieux

Emily (Lyle) Cadieux, born at Barstaple, Devon, England around 1865. Emily was a dressmaker in the old country and came to Canada with her sister Jane Bell, nee Lyle, in 1908 and settled at Fort Steele, B.C. Emily is also a sister to Fanny (Lyle) WIllicome. She married Samuel Cadieux at Cranbrook, B.C., on February 1,1909. After living on the ranch at Sheep Creek and other places, Emily passed away at Cranbrook on June 10, 1945.
