ALDERMEN TO TRY CONSERVE ON FINANCES. -       

            …The matter of the welcome arches erected under the supervision of the board of trade came up when a bill was read asking the city to pay for the concrete buttments.  This account was referred back to the board of trade.

 

            …Minor repairs to streets and sidewalks have been carried out.  Welcome arches supplied by the Board of Trade have been erected and set in concrete at Cranbrook and Harold streets and Watt avenue and Dennis street.
