LOCAL NOTES

            Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Wilson had as their guests for several days, a pioneer couple well known among older residents here.  Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reid of Vancouver.  Twenty years ago Mr. Reid conducted a drug store business here, being succeeded by Mr. C.H. Barber, who, in turn, sold out to the late Mr. W. Atchison, whose business was taken over by Mr. J. Fred Scott, present manager of the Cranbrook Drug and Book Company.  Mr. Reid, chatting with old acquaintances, stated he found many changes in his old home town, and expressed surprise at the growth of the place.  The party left for Banff, Lake Louise and other scenic points early in the week, with intention of revisiting the city on their return journey, two weeks hence
