Byng Hotel Trout

BIG KAMLOOPS TROUT RETURNED TO CITY – Specimen, Artistically Mounted, Hangs In Glass Case In Hotel Byng; Fish Weighed 35 ½ lbs.

            Artistically mounted and enclosed in a glass case by J.W. Cook, Calgary taxidermist, the big Kamloops trout, caught by J.W. Kline in Premier Lake on October 5^th last, was returned to the city Wednesday and is hung in the Hotel Byng.  The monster fish, a record specimen, weighing thirty-five and one-half pounds when taken from the water after a battle of two and one-half hours, is probably the finest of its species on permanent exhibition in the province, according to well informed anglers.
