LOCAL NOTES

            From all appearances it looks like Cranbrook would shortly have a branch of the Klu Klux Klan established here.  A night rider was seen by Tom Bailey, Star theatre operator, one night this week while the said Tom was on his way home from the theatre.  The rider wore the full garb of the Klan.

            Mr. and Mrs. F.G. Novak, the new Star theatre musical combination, arrived in the city Monday from Regina, at which place they have been playing at the Allan theatre.  They are both talented musicians with years of experience in the musical world.  Their signing up with the Star has been the means of increasing patronage to the house and many complimentary remarks have been heard as to their playing.  Mr. and Mrs. Novak will open a studio in Cranbrook, when instruction will be given on the violin, cornet, saxophone, piano and voice culture.
