ROTARY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Rotarians do peculiar things, one of the strangest being the golf tournament Wednesday afternoon last on the links of the Cranbrook Golf and Country Club.  A prize of mackinaw coat was hung out to the “greenie” making the nine course hole in the least number of shots.  An experienced player was sent out with each new man and handicapped to the tune of 50.  Frank Marsh is now wearing the mackinaw coat, making the rounds of the course in 62, which is considered “some playing” for a green man.  Jack Delany rolled up 103 strikes, Joe Schell 100, an ink spilled did it in 99, a bargain in strokes.

As a result of the meet, a number of those taking part will make application for membership in the golf club.  The ladies’ committee of the golf club served tea to the “players.”
