            Mr. Percy Bean, of the Fernie Garage, was a visitor to Cranbrook on Wednesday.

            Father Lambot, of St. Eugene Mission, has purchased a Ford touring car through the Hanson Garage.

            Mrs. Thomas Westover and daughter Nellie, who spent the past five weeks at Fort Steele visiting with her sister, Mrs. H.A. Butt, left on Tuesday’s train for her home in Vancouver.  The vacation was pleasantly spent in the important towns in East Kootenay.

            Mr. A.B. Macdonald, K.C., of Vancouver, formerly of the local firm of Macdonald, Macdonald and Nisbet, arrived in Cranbrook Saturday for a short business visit, returning to the coast again on Monday’s train.  Cranbrook and East Kootenay is being prominently mentioned at the coast owing to the many varied industries about to be established within her borders.  The pulp plant near Elko is only the start of similar projects in East Kootenay.”
