CRANBROOK ROTARY

            Joe Schell and Harry McKowan were inducted into the mysteries of Rotary Tuesday at the regular weekly session of the club.  Ed. MacKay instructed the candidates, charging them with the responsibilities of strictly complying with the Rotary code of ethics.  In the new candidates Cranbrook Rotary has acquired two new members who will fulfill the solemn obligation imposed upon them and carry the principles involved in the Rotary wheel.

            Russell Walker, travelling representative of the Vancouver Province was the chief speaker, taking for his subject “The Province of British Columbia, Its Natural Resources and Future Prospects.”  The speaker pictured a marvelous future for the entire province, predicting a growth in every branch of industry.

            Doc. Miles reported good progress for the “On to Spokane” visit of the Cranbrook Rotary Club for a joint session with the clubs of Spokane, and other Washington points.  Nelson, Fernie and Cranbrook will be represented.
