Bert Jones made his debut on the Rotary speaking platform Tuesday at the club room, when he delivered a vocational talk to a 100 per cent meeting of Cranbrook Rotarians, who listened to one of the best addresses delivered before the club. It came as a surprise, because Bert has never laid claim to being a public speaker and was not over-enthusiastic until he found his speaking legs. The club will meet regularly in the Y.M.C.A. dining room in future, where the weekly luncheon and stunts can be worked together. Mrs. McNeil is looking after catering.
