LOCAL NOTES

Don’t forget to see Charlie Chaplin in “Pay Day” at the Star on Friday and Saturday.

********

Motion pictures of the Ancient Chinese oath administered during the recent miniature tong war at Cranbrook will be shown at the Rex theatre tonight and tomorrow night.

********

Chaplin’s latest comedy is “Pay Day.”  See it at the Star today, it’s a scream.

********

Mr. M. Nelson, cameraman, is leaving Sunday for Nelson to take motion pictures of the exhibits at the big Nelson convention.

********

The Star theatre is enlarging their stage to a depth of 12 feet, which is amply big enough for Cranbrook’s requirements for local attractions, vaudeville and road shows.  Mr. Blaine has arranged with Holbrook and Eddie of Seattle to equip the stage with up-to-date scenery.  Mr. Holbrook is authorized by Mr. Blaine to sell the limited advertising space which will be sold on the front drop art advertising curtain for a period of two years.
