LOCAL NOTES

Peter Lund, a pioneer of the Kootenays and a member of the Lethbridge Rotary Club, was the chief speaker at the weekly luncheon of the Cranbrook Rotary Club Tuesday.  He is perhaps the heaviest Rotarian in British Columbia, tipping the scale at 282 pounds, about two hundred of which radiates mellow sunshine and good common sense.  The next meeting of the club will be held at Wattsburg on Tuesday, July 4th, when George Robson, general manager of the BC Spruce Mills, will entertain the club in commemoration of the Glorious Fourth.
