THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE

                                                            May, 16, 1922

To the City Council,

Cranbrook, B.C.

Gentlemen – Having followed with much interest the progress of your deliberations concerning a public park for Cranbrook and after reading in the Courier about the maturing of the plan, which I sincerely trust may be carried out soon, I take the liberty to add my own views to that of many others, that the park would most suitably be located in the heart of the city and so near the residential section on the vacant property which the city now owns and which is located opposite the Hanson Garage.

I note that the Rotary Club has offered to donate trees, etc., and I would like to add a donation of a certain sum, say $100.00 or so, toward erection of swings for children or drinking fountain in such park provided the suggestion of establishing the park on said location is carried out.  I would be glad to make further donations for this worthy cause later on.

                                                            Yours respectfully,

                                                                        CONRAD W. JOHNSON.
