City council aired its anger at an allegation by morality candidate George Haddad that the city motel at Baker Park had operated at a loss for four years. Mr. Haddad charged that the motel section has operated at an overall loss of $11,000 of the taxpayers money over the four year period. Mayor Sang countered the biggest profit came from the bungalows.

            At a later council candidate Haddad gained the support of two alderman in that he did not deliberately “juggle” figures, but Mayor Sang stuck by his guns and city auditors financial report that the motels operated at a profit.
