WOMEN’S AUXILIARY TO G.W.V.A. ADOPT BY-LAWS. -

            At an executive meeting of the Women’s Auxiliary to the Great War Veterans Association held at the home of Mrs. T.C. Phillips on February 9th, the following by-laws were adopted:

BY-LAWS

            This organization is known as the Cranbrook Branch, Women’s Auxiliary to the Great War Veterans Association.

            MEMBERS – all women can become members who are interested in the work of the above named association for returned soldiers and their dependents.

            OFFICERS – The officers to be nominated and elected by ballot at the first regular meeting of each year – Honorary President, Honorary Vice-President, two Patroness’s, President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer.

            MEETINGS – Meetings to be held on the first Monday of the month at eight o’clock p.m. promptly.  The president has authority to call special meetings when necessary.

            WORK – The Auxiliary to be entirely subordinate to the local branch of the Great War Veterans Association.  Our work is to assist them both socially and in raising funds to operate said association.

            MEMBERSHIP FEES – The membership fees to be Twenty-five cents and as additional fee of Fifteen cents per month.

            The next meeting will be held on Monday 8 p.m. March 4th, in the rooms of the Royal Hotel, which have recently been engaged by the Great War Veterans Association.

            All who are interested in the work of the Association are cordially invited to become members.
