Tourist park revenues up from last year.

EARLY SUMMER WORK CARRIED ON BY CITY. – Streets And Sidewalk Repairs Made, Sewers Flushed And Cemetery Improvements Carried On.

Streets and General.

            Grading work on the new cemetery has been carried out and foundations for new rock wall fences are nearing completion; roads and paths in the old cemetery have been weeded and raked and a general clean-up of the cemetery is being carried out and painting of the front picket fence completed.

            Tourist Camp signs outside the city have been re-painted and additional signs are under construction.  Tourist revenues to the end of June were $773.80, compared with $677.30 for the same period last year.

            … The old drinking fountain in the Children’s Playground was dismantled and a new fountain constructed.

 

Electric Department.

            … Conduit cables and flood lights were installed in the Swimming Pool fountain.
