0051.0331: Politics

Reporting on the forming of a Central Liberal Organization for the Cranbrook district.

In order to accommodate the large passenger travel which is expected to extend to the Windermere district during this coming summer Geary & Doyle have decided to place a weekly stage between Fort Steele, Windermere and Peter borough in connection with the steamboats from Golden on the Columbia river and Fort Steele Junction on the Crow’s Nest Pass railway.  South East Kootenay and Windermere are the most talked of districts in British Columbia and in order to accommodate the traveling public with dispatch and regularity Geary & Doyle have decided to increase this service as much as possible.  This is a move that is of interest to both districts.
