U.S. SPORTSMEN GO AFTER BIG GAME – Will Comb White River District for Sheep, Goats, Elk and Bear.

            Leaving here today for Ram Creek and the upper White River country, V.B. Bennington of Ritzville, and J.G. White of Walla Walla, Washington, are making a pilgrimage into the wilds in search of Rocky Mountain sheep, goats, elk and bear.  The party are here at the instance of Robert Crerar of Kimberley, acting on information supplied by the Cranbrook Board of Trade.  Messrs. Bennington and White are seasoned hunters, Mr. White, particularly, having shot on practically every species of game in the Canadian Northwest, and has had, in addition, a great deal of experience in furtrading in northern Alberta.

            A second party is expected to arrive from the U.S. Monday next to go out into the mountains from Fort Steele under the guidance of Billy Stork, the well known guide.
