FORESTRY MAN DIES SUDDENLY – Passes Away in Kimberley Hospital, After Short Illness.

The community of Kimberley is experiencing a loss in the death of James Davis, of the B.C. Forest Service, who passed away in the Kimberley Hospital, yesterday, following a short illness.  Mr. Davis’s death was quite unexpected, he being on duty up until Friday last when he obtained leave of absence to submit himself to a surgical operation on his nose.  The deceased was one of the best known citizens of Kimberley, having made his home there for many years.  He was until two years ago an employee of the C.P.R. Natural Resources Branch, holding the position of guardian of the company’s forest holdings in the Skookumchuck valley.  Mr. Davis is survived by his wife.  The funeral will be held at Kimberley Sunday.
