LOCAL GYROS DEVOTE ENERGIES TO BALL. – Decoration and Refreshment Committee Busy. – Club Committee Reports.

The Cranbrook Gyro Club are bending all their energies this week in the direction of their annual ball, which takes place tomorrow (Friday) evening in the Cranbrook Auditorium.  This event is one of the outstanding social gatherings of the season and will be attended by many outside of the city.  For this occasion the Bluebird orchestra has been engaged and the committee in charge have arranged for the distribution of favors to the ladies.  The club members are busy today decorating the building, purple and gold, the club colors, predominating.  The wives of the members will take charge of the supper, a committee with Mrs. Barber at the head, have all arrangements complete.  The ball is the one social event the club undertakes which is not operated as a community project, the receipts being devoted purely to the operation of the festive occasion.

A report was presented from Doc. Fergie, Dutch Harris and Doug. Gray, who attended the Spokane inter-city meeting.

Rotarian Milligan, mayor of Trail, was a guest of the club.

The Gyro club tenders its thanks to all who assisted in any way in the production of the recent stage comedy, “Aunt Lucia,” and to the public in general for their support.
