Newspaper advertisement for opening of Cranbrook Miniature Golf Course in Imperial Hotel block.

CALGARY MAN OPENS PEEWEE GOLF COURSE. – Storeroom in Imperial Hotel, Formerly Occupied by Joseph McLean is Location.

Cranbrook is to have another miniature golf course.  The storeroom in the Imperial hotel back, formerly occupied by Joseph McLean as a furniture store, has been fitted up and an effort is being made to have the place open for business Saturday night.  It will be an 18-hole course with plenty of hazards, and a big surprise as an additional feature.  A. Taylor will be the local manager, and the proprietors are Messrs. Taylor and Hossell – Fred Hossell, of Calgary, is at the head of a chain of these peewee courses.  The opening of the one here makes the eighth, among the other towns in which he operates being Stettler, Lacombe, Innisfail, Olds and Macleod.
