LOCAL NOTES
The most interesting ore sample in possession of the Cranbrook Board
of Trade was taken from the ore body in the lower workings of the Sullivan
Mine recently. Highly colored nodules of copper stud the face of the
fragment, with copper pyrites scattered plentifully over its whole area.
The attractiveness of the bit of ore has gained for it a place of honor in
the mineral display Mr. W.S. Santo is making up to take with him to the
mining convention at Nelson which is to be held on the 5th, 6th and 7th of
July. Officials of the Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company donated
the addition to the district exhibit.
