COUNCIL MEETS AGAIN TONIGHT - Session of Thursday Last Adjourned For Lack
of Attendance
Last week's council meeting, the first this year, was adjourned until
to-night by Mayor Roberts. Three aldermen only were present, Messrs.
Jackson, Flowers and Hicks. Aldermen Fink, MacPherson and Cameron being
unable to be present. The only business dealt with consisted of the
adoption of the election reports presented by returning officer Fred
Burgess and the setting of the date of the Court of Revision on assessments
for the first regular meeting in February, the Court to be comprised of the
full council with power to act. Those making protest against their
assessments should make a point of being present on the date named to
sustain their petitions for reductions. The council meets again tonight
for the transaction of civic business.
