Gyros and Rotary

LOCAL NOTES
The Cranbrook Rotary Club had as their guests Tuesday art their
regular weekly luncheon, Rotarian Pat Moore of Calgary, former Gyro
President Al. Knight, and Mr. Arthur Shankland whose assistance in the
minstrel show was greatly appreciated. The minstrel show statement will be
presented to the club in a week or two.

Al. Knight, first president of the Cranbrook Gyro club left Cranbrook
Tuesday, accepting the position of traveler for the Penslar Drug Co. He
was a guest of the Cranbrook Rotary Club at Tuesday's luncheon, where he
was given a warm send off. President Graham, in complimenting Mr. Knight
on his recent appointment, expressed the wish that he would find time to
visit Cranbrook on his travels in Western Canada. It was largely through
the efforts of Mr. Knight that such friendly feeling existed between the
Gyro Club and the Rotary Club. In thanking the Rotarians for their kindly
message of Cheer Mr. Knight advocated a joint meeting of Gyros and
Rotarians at least four times a year, which would result in a better
understanding and prevent any duplication of work.
