GYRO CLUB GIRL CONTEST
Candidates in the Favorite Girl Contest, conducted by the Cranbrook
Gyro Club, in connection with the East Kootenay Fall Fair, to be held
September 16, 17 and 18, were announced this week by the contest committee.
The contestants are - Margaret Smith, Marie Patterson and Gwen Slye, of
Cranbrook; Phyllis Small, of Kimberley, and Teresa
Marzzocco, of Wycliffe. The girls and their supporters are actively
canvassing the district and have already met with a good response. The
girl selling the largest number of tickets will receive a $200.00 prize.
Other contestants will be suitably rewarded. The holder of the lucky
number will receive a Chevrolet Coach, valued at $1100.00. The grand
drawing will take place on the last night of the fair.
