REAL ESTATE VERY BUSY - Healthy Growth Shown by Transfers in Real Estate -
Business Properties in Demand.
Main Street business property continues to be in active demand. Last
week saw another important deal completed which makes Mr. Egisto Bigattini
the owner of the Wentworth Hotel property in this city. This hotel, one of
the oldest business establishments of its kind in the city, has been owned
and operated by Mr. Bert Matson for a number of years. Mr. Bigattini, who
has recently sold his interest in the Venezia Hotel to Mr. Marapodi, will
be the sole owner of the Wentworth Hotel and will conduct the place in the
same manner as the Venezia has been under his management. The new owner
has been in the hotel business in Cranbrook since 1919 and consequently is
very well acquainted with the needs of the traveling public. The Wentworth
Hotel, since it came under the personal management of Mr. Matson, has been
refitted and re-furnished throughout with new beds, bedding, etc., and is
suitable for the best class of trade. Mr. Bigattini will continue to
operate the place in the same high class manner that it had been conducted
by Mr. Matson, after making a few necessary additions. The deal was
effected through the office of Martin Bros.
