Company men at Cranbrook provided an evening of hilarity when they showered Hon. Frank M. MacPherson with scoop shovels, lanterns, signal flags, fusees, and other tools of the railroader’s trade, on his departure for Ottawa to join the Board of Transport.

 

In the photo are: Left to Right:  (front row) Fireman Frank Maidment, Clerk Martin Harris, Car Inspector James Lunn, Section foreman John Morre; Engineer Hugh Brock (retired); conductor Fred Genest (retired).

Back row:  Locomotive foreman W.J. Barber, Yard foreman J.H. Cameron, Fitter Bob Laurie, F.M. MacPherson, with flagging equipment and train orders; Trainman Herb Bradley, Carman Fred Woolley, Mrs. MacPherson, Car foreman Ralph Edwards, Agent Reg. Turner and Assistant Superintendent I.J. McNaughtan.
